isPermaLink="false">http://www.phirephoenix.com/?p=778#comment-1129

For all of my fellow Mac users, this is THE surefire way to play all of your media files on GoDaddy:
1- Copy this code with your favorite text editor:
AddType video/ogg .ogv
AddType video/mp4 .mp4
AddType video/m4v .m4v
AddType video/mov .mov
AddType video/webm .webm
AddType image/svg+xml svg
AddType image/svg+xml svgz
2. Save this as a .htaccess file on your desktop -- don't worry that it is a hidden file, you will see it soon!
3. Log in to your GoDaddy Account and LAUNCH your account through the WEB HOSTING column. This will take you to your HOSTING DASHBOARD
4. Under the CONTENT TAB click the JAVA FTP CLIENT tab and allow access to connect with the GoDaddy server -- you want to "allow Java Access"
5- Once connected, you will see two columns: The LEFT column is your Mac and all of its contents - the RIGHT is all of your website files on Go Daddy. You want to DOUBLE CLICK the DESKTOP tab on the LEFT column (your Mac) to see all of your files on your desktop. This is when you will SEE your .htaccess file you just created. You want to transfer that file to the RESOURCE or MEDIA folder in your GoDaddy site. DO NOT make a second file to place in your root folder -- it isn't needed and it will cause your site to function improperly -- ie: you won't see or hear anything on your site!
6. This file will load immediately -- once it does, check your site on Firefox as well as all of your other browsers. You should be good to go. Log out of Godaddy and go do something... else.

For all of my fellow Mac users, this is THE surefire way to play all of your media files on GoDaddy:

1- Copy this code with your favorite text editor:

AddType video/ogg .ogv<br

Other books include "The Political Mind" and "Don't Think of an Elephant: Know Your Values and Frame the Debate" and "Thinking Points" and "Whose Freedom: The Battle over America's Most Important Idea". He has many more books related to the research that has grounded his work. All of them I highly recommend.

This is a very important topic – George Lakoff is well worth reading in relation to this – the Key book is Moral Politics – where he presents the two major ‘frames’ by which Neo-Conservative Replublicans and ‘Progressives’ have used to (or not in the case of progressives) to elaborate a narative and shape political discourse. We keep posting more on #OWS and hope readers like you will keep checking it out---on of the biggest points of our site is to show how social science is relevant to public discussions and doesn't have to loiter around in the ivory towers!
All the best,

As far as I can see, most governments only really address one 'issue' once per term and generally doesn't touch them once it has been 'resolved'. Voting a different party for each issue is essentially the same as voting for the individual issues.
If you make the categories broad enough then the whole concept is moot.
Of course, you could always make the voting cycle longer to compensate.
What we need is better neurosciences so that people can vote subconsciously. THEN we can have proper democracy.

At that point you might as well not have a parliament and just have a referendum on all issues addressed in the government.
